THE TEAM MEMBERS
MR DAVID BROWER
Mr David Brower BSc(Hons) FCOptom FSMC FBOA DCLP ABDO(Hons)LVA, gained an Honours Degree in Ophthalmic Optics (Optometry) from the City University in London, was awarded the Fellowship of the British Optical Association and the Fellowship of the Worshipful Company of Spectaclemakers before the two bodies formed the College of Optometrists of which he is a Foundation Fellow. He has obtained the advanced diploma in Contact Lens Practice from the British Optical Association, the Honours Diploma in Low Vision from the Association of British Dispensing Opticians and holds all three Postgraduate Certificates in Ocular Therapeutics from the City University in London. Mr Brower has given talks on sports vision and has lectured on refraction to Dispensing Opticians who wish to specialise in low vision.
He also built this website and was nominated for an Optician award!
MRS JENNIFER BROWER
Mrs Jennifer Brower FBDO(Hons)LVA Cert.Ed is the practice manager and is an Honours Fellow of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians. Her specialisation is low vision and she is a tutor and examiner for the Association's Honours Diploma in Low Vision. Jennifer also works part-time at a hospital low vision clinic, has been published in optical journals and lectures regularly on the subject. Other professional interests include continuing education and training (CET) for dispensing opticians and national improvement of professional standards. Jennifer is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers and in 1999 was awarded the Hamblin Memorial Prize for Services to Optics.
MRS LINDA KANE
Mrs Linda Kane lives locally and is well known in Croxley Green. Lin has been married to her husband Gerry, a retired policeman, for over 40 years and has two grown up sons named Gary and Stuart and four grandchildren. Lin is a wine aficionado, a skilled seamstress and enjoys travelling to sunny foreign locations especially Corsica and Italy.
MRS LORRAINE PERRY
Lorraine is a valued and well-established member of the Saturday morning team and has two young children, Harriet (aged 8) and William (aged 7). Lorraine has a friendly and pleasant disposition and is noted for her warm welcoming smile. Although a dedicated mother, when not looking after her children, Lorraine likes to spend as much time as she can on her physical fitness exercise regimes.
